Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to common questions about limits, data retention, and infrastructure.

1. How much does HealthyCron cost?

HealthyCron offers a generous free tier that includes up to 50 active monitors and 7 days of log retention. Paid plans start at $12/month for teams hitting higher scale, longer retention, or requiring advanced webhook/PagerDuty integrations.

2. What are the API rate limits?

Ping endpoints (/ping/*) are limited to 1 request per second per monitor. The Management API (/api/*) is limited to 100 requests per minute per project. Wait at least 1 second before retrying if you hit a limit.

3. What programming languages do you support?

Because our core API is just a standard HTTP endpoint, we support everything. If your environment can execute a network request (Bash, PowerShell, Python, C#, Rust, Node), it can integrate with HealthyCron instantly.

4. What happens if HealthyCron goes down?

We operate redundant infrastructure across multiple AWS availability zones. Our alerting engine is decoupled from our web dashboard. If the primary UI database fails, the alerting instances continue to ingest pings and fire webhooks without interruption. We maintain a public status page.

5. How long do you keep ping logs?

Log retention depends on your plan. The Free tier stores logs for 7 days. Pro tier stores them for 30 days. Business tier stores them for 90 days. Raw logs older than your retention policy are permanently deleted.

6. Are you GDPR compliant?

Yes. We do not require or collect PII inside monitor payloads. The only personal data we process is the billing and email information required to maintain your account, handled strictly in accordance with GDPR requirements.

7. Do you support short-interval polling (checking a server every 5 seconds)?

No. HealthyCron is designed for background jobs, cron tasks, and logical processes, not active TCP/HTTP uptime probing. The minimum allowed interval is 1 minute.

8. Can a monitor alert multiple channels?

Yes. You can assign as many integrations as you like to a single monitor. For example, a failure could simultaneously send an email, trigger a Slack message, and call a webhook.

9. Does pinging affect my application's performance?

No. Because ping requests are entirely fire-and-forget, you should trigger them asynchronously or use a short HTTP timeout (e.g. 5 seconds) to ensure your own app does not hang waiting on the network.

10. Can I self-host HealthyCron?

Currently, HealthyCron is available exclusively as a managed SaaS solution. We do not offer a self-hosted or open-source tier at this time.
