Reference / Monitor States
Monitor States
Every monitor in HealthyCron is always within exactly one of these five states.
New
New Check
Condition
The monitor has been created but has never received a ping. It will stay in this state forever until the first ping arrives.
Action
Trigger your job manually to ensure your ping script works and shifts it to Healthy.
Healthy
Operating Normally
Condition
The latest expected ping arrived successfully and within its scheduled interval constraint.
Action
None required. Take a sip of coffee.
Late
Overdue (In Grace Period)
Condition
The ping is overdue past its scheduled time, but the configured grace period has not yet fully elapsed. No alerts have been sent yet.
Action
Investigate if the job is running unusually slowly due to heavy load, or if it has hung entirely.
Failed
Alert Triggered
Condition
The grace period has elapsed without a success ping, or you explicitly called the
/fail endpoint. Alerts were immediately dispatched.
Action
Check your application logs. The job failed to run or encountered a fatal exception.
Paused
Manually Suppressed
Condition
You manually toggled this monitor off from the Dashboard using the Pause button. All incoming pings are ignored, and no timers are ticking.
Action
Resume the monitor in the Dashboard when your scheduled maintenance is complete.
