Projects & Teams
Projects are logical containers used to organize your monitors and access control within HealthyCron.
Organizing with Projects
We recommend grouping your monitors into projects by environment or by service boundaries. For example:
- Create a "Production" project for critical user-facing jobs. Route these alerts directly to PagerDuty or an on-call phone number.
- Create a "Staging" project for testing. Route these alerts to a low-priority Slack channel or ignore them entirely.
Monitors can be moved between projects freely from the Dashboard. Each project maintains its own isolated set of Integrations; a monitor in Staging cannot accidentally trigger an Integration assigned exclusively to Production.
Managing Teams
You can invite team members to collaborate on a Project by navigating to the Project Settings and initiating an email invitation. Roles are scoped per project.
| Role | Permissions |
|---|---|
| Owner | Full access. Can create/edit/delete monitors, configure ping settings, add/remove integrations, and invite or remove other members. |
| Member | Read/Write access to monitors. They can pause monitors and view logs, but cannot edit integrations or invite new members to the project. |
Project Ping Keys
Each project generates a specific Ping Key for Auto-Provisioning. When a ping hits the slug format URL (
/ping/key/slug) using that project's key, HealthyCron can automatically provision a new monitor inside that target Project.
